It first appeared on film in the documentary The Spirit Moves and features classic and challenging jazz steps like the fall-of-the-log, hallelujah rocks, and shouts. Lindy Hoppers of today still love to perform this routine! Come learn it in this two-week workshop and add it to your jazz dance repertoire.

In this four week musicality series, students will learn to fit their dancing to the music’s rhythm, melody, and mood. This is a key characteristic of improvised swing dancing, not commonly found in other partnered dances. Students will expand their skills by taking inspiration from the music and learning to become co-instruments with the band. Students will benefit from varied perspectives as this class is taught by multiple Groove Juice Swing instructors.
