Flower City Lindy Classic Workshops 2025

Join us October 11th for the fifth Flower City Lindy Classic! Special guest instructors Val Kutchko and Doug Bae from Pittsburgh will be teaching four hours of daytime workshops to help you take your dancing to the next level. These workshops are intended for intermediate dancers who have taken most of the Groove Juice improver curriculum (or equivalent) and are ready to challenge themselves with new technique. The full workshop schedule is below!

That evening, come out dancing to show off what you've learned! In between the social dancing, we'll be having three competitions, all free to enter, with some great prizes including passes to regional events. We look forward to seeing you there!

Fully committing your body to your movement makes for a clearer, stronger relationship between partners. We'll delve into the body mechanics that drive your movements and keep your connection comfortable.

In this class we'll look at ways to change momentum and direction (linear and/or rotational) while maintaining the flow of the dance.

How do we create smooth transitions and solid partnering while also playing with rhythm and energy? Let's find out together!

Competition Prep or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying And Love the Spotlight
Get in, get out, and feel seen on the competition floor! We'll share tips for syncing up with your partners, throwing down in front of an audience, and navigating both prelims and finals.

Everyone out by 5:15 to allow for sound check and dance setup.
