Brekly Ellard

Brekly first saw Lindy Hop back in 2008 while in New York City. Without knowing its name, the dance entranced and inspired her. After moving to Kansas later that year, Wichita became the birthplace of her love for lindy hop. She continued her swing dance education in Milwaukee before Rochester became her home in January 2011.

Being regularly on the move and traveling, Brekly enjoys meeting new people and has found a great group of friends in the lindy and blues communities across the country. This travel has also given Brekly access to great instructors and dance events across the nation including the International Lindy Hop Championships, The Rhythm is Jumpin' and Midwest Lindy Fest.

When not dancing, Brekly frequents the Ultimate Frisbee field and enjoys dreaming up culinary creations in her kitchen. She is excited about teaching and being a part of Groove Juice Swing and the Rochester community.
