Groove Juice Swing: Swing Dancing in Rochester, NY

Jamie Tyrrell

Jamie Tyrrell

Jamie started taking dance lessons in pre-school, but only encountered-and fell in love with-Lindy Hop when she took her first class with Groove Juice Swing in 2013. Since then she has danced with Groove Juice nearly every week and performed with the Flower City Follies, all while finishing medical school. Since moving to Rochester, she has also been seen in many local Shakespeare productions, including playing Ophelia in  Hamlet and Helena in a bilingual English-ASL production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. In taking on the role of Volunteer Coordinator for Groove Juice Swing she is happy to find an opportunity to apply her life-long skill of telling people what to do.

If you'd like to volunteer as part of Jamie's crew, fill out an application here.
