Groove Juice Swing: Swing Dancing in Rochester, NY

Lily Cisco

(She/Her/Hers)

Jazz music has been a part of Lily's life since birth. Her dad introduced her to Nat King Cole, Ella Fitgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Cab Calloway before she said her first words. As many do, Lily did ballet in her childhood, but it wasn't until undergraduate with the RIT swing dance club that she found her way to Lindy Hop and social dance in general. Lily has been teaching with Groove Juice Swing since 2018 and is coming up on her 10-year dance-anniversary. When not on the dance floor, you can find Lily in the laboratory. Don't be surprised if a principal of physics or anatomy term make its way into her Lindy lesson. She has traveled through parts of the US and Canada to attend dance events and loves to find local scenes when traveling for work. Come ask her for a dance in Lindy, balboa, or blues at a GJS event.
